Pink Saturday , March 28th, 2009

A Happy Pink Saturday to all !!! Firstly, please forgive me, I got about half way through the list of those that left comments this week and went and said Hi, I have missed EACH of you. This week was rough with pain. One of the worst yet, but it did let up some yesterday and Friday, so I crafted to my hearts content and have SO many goodies finished and almost finished. I will be listing some items on my Etsy all weekend long. I have lots of Easter things and fun , pretty, Pastel Vintage goodies as well :)

I would also like to say to a dear friend, that we are thinking of you and your husband and granddaughter right now and praying for you all. My heart is so Broken for you, and my tears are still falling for you. May Our Lord wrap you in His arms and carry you through this loss as your friends stand ready and close by to help in any way needed. Please call on me any time, just know that you arent alone in this. Lots of people love you and care for you and are crying along side you.

I also would LOVE to stop and Thank Miss Beverly of How Sweet the Sound, as she is such a special lady and I am in her debt, that each week she is so faithful to each of us. I didn't even get down the list far enough to go say Hi to her, Poo on Me !!! So Hi Sweet Lady !!!

Ok, this isn't Pink, but I got her/him today for 49 cents at the thrift store. ( Hubby's new days off is Friday and Saturday's ) It is a Royal Doulton !!! Now, I have no idea what she is worth, but I am pretty sure, more that 49 cents !!! Steph, Help !!! Steph sells these in her store . I have always been in love with the softness and sweetness of Doulton figurines. This one just charms my heart with its simplicity :)

Found this old starched lace egg for $1, sigh................., isn't it lovely ? Look at the sweet pink wired flowers. I want to make some now :)

A Pink Faux cake that is going in the shop this week. :) Love this one and have had a hard time letting it go, so I have been sitting on it for a few months and enjoying its beauty :)

Ok, This was the Most Special Pink item of my week !!! One of my two BFF's Karen, sent this to me for Easter. Oh My Gosh, I am so mad that I took pictures so late in the day and it is blurry. This is SO pretty, you cant know, and the tiny stitching is all by hand !!! It is simply Precious !!! She has some Here, and Here. If you were only to get yourself one thing for Easter, this would be it ! The graphics she used are all so precious. Unlike the vintage ones, where there would be a card or two that is pretty and the rest funky, each vintage card replica she picked is special and I keep turning it around so I can enjoy each side :)

I have made a Ton of Eggs the last few days, these sweet hand dyed crushed velvet ones with millinery, my faux sugar ones and Diorama ones as well. I also have baskets, my faux cookies and a few surprises. :) Fun, Fun, Fun !!!!!

I am such a happy person by nature, I love to laugh, tease and have fun. It doesn't take me much either. A day out of the house, some time creating my artwork and time with family and my dogs. :) I find that Less is ALWAYS more in the grand scheme of things :)

Well, That is my Pinkness for today. I know there is a lot of Robin's egg blue mixed in, but I cant quite seem to seperate those two colors, they are so dreamy together :)

Please go give Miss Beverly a Virtual Hug and a Hi and have a wonderful time visiting all of the wonderful Pink Posters :) Wishing you a Blessed Weekend my Friends :)

Hugs,

Rhea

I'm very sorry to hear about the pain but I'm happy you had some good days to craft, chickee. Yes, we're all devastated for Judy's loss. We sent flowers for the funeral. We were stunned when she told us and it's been quiet in group for days because of that. We didn't even see it coming. Truly sad.

All your things are exquisite and they will sell mighty quickly I think. Keep it up and call when you need to chat.

xoxo,
Connie

Hello sweet Rhea, I am sorry to hear you had a bad week, but I know that the great finds you found ( and you did find some good ones for sure) will help take the mind off. Somehow, when we are suffering, looking at something soft, pale and beautiful brings out a peacefulness that can't not be explained. Beautiful post today, thankyou, Happy Pink Saturday and I must check out the etsy shop, Char

Everything is so pretty. You have got me wanting everything to be pink. I'll have to confess until the last couple of years, pink just wasn't my color. It is now! I am so sorry you have been in such pain. My prayers are with you, sweet Rhea.
