Easter Basket Swap !!!!!

So, the other day I am looking at my Pile of recyclables and started thinking about Our Planet and wanting to do more for the environment. And I spied these :
And thought, How perfect for mini Easter Baskets !! Lets have a Swap !!! :)

Here's the particulars : You will have TWO partners each and you need to make Two mini baskets from plastic yogurt cups. ( So they will all be the same size. Mine are standard, 3x3x2 ) Then you need to fill it with FIVE items, preferably Easter related. Five only, no more, no less. That makes it Easy, and Fair for all. Now, the baskets can be crocheted, paper crafted, fabric covered, any medium you choose, as long as there is a yogurt cup inside. :) Easy Peasy ??? The sign ups close next Friday Feb. 26th, and on Sunday, the 28th, I will send you the names of your partners. The baskets will need to be mailed, NO LATER THAN March 20th. Because this is such a short turn around ( 3 weeks ) , it is open to USA participants ONLY, due to the shipping time. We will share our baskets on our blogs, or in the flickr group I will set up, on Saturday, April 3rd, the day before Easter. I also would like this to be for Bloggers only.

So, to sign up, please send me an Email, with your Name, Blog Name, Email, Address and favorite Colors.

Please snatch the Swap Picture and put it on your blog and spread the word !!

I am SO excited !!!! I will share tips in a few days on how to cover these, so don't worry, You can do it !!!

Hugs,

Rhea

I have signed up and have the sweet little button on my blog! I can't wait to see who I get for swap partners!!

Had DH go get some yogurt so I would have the cups ready when I have time to work on them(don't want him to have to gulp all that yogurt down at the last minute caz I procrastinated and now have a burr under my saddle to to them NOW!)(Yes I am another no yogurt eater- except Brown Cow Vanilla- and they don't have it in the little cups I don't think-)

Hello Rhea ~I wanted to stop by to reconnect. I've had a few absences from blogging and have lost touch with some of my friends.
Ever since winter landed on our doorstep...it provided us the motivation for a few indoor remodeling projects...in two homes! Which can be a bit daunting. So, I relish the breaks I get for blog visits.

It's wonderful how creative blog friends as yourself can be, that's why I love returning the gesture, by sharing cooking or DIY ideas.
I would love to participate in this swap. I'll check the itinerary and let you know. I'll post it on my sidebar to let my friends know.
I hope you can stop by so we can reacquaint ourselves.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

Oh what a fun swap. Please count me in. I will e-mail you also. I too have a passion for children's ministries. I work with all the children at my church in various roles. Our big passion is making cards for the sick and elderly. Please do show tutorials as this would be a good project for my Sunday School Class grades 1-3. I am bible school director also. My Dear Sweet Rhea ... I know I'm to late for the swap but I just had to share ... Well, I saw your 'darling little baskets' on your blog ...I emailed a picture of them to my daughter at work and said .."I found it" ..."our Easter project for this year" ...We were soo excited and couldn't wait to get started and Tina said she was going to make one for each of her three daughters-in-law and for her friends in her Bible study group...Well, I gotta tell you .. "You are amazing" cuz four and a half hours and a glass of wine later all we had was a big mess and we each made one basket which by the way didn't look at all as pretty as yours. ..lol..I'm posting a pic of them on my blog ..Oh yeah and Tina decided she was not going to give them as gifts after all ..lol
The baskets aren't what we expected them to look like, but we sure had a lot of fun 'trying' to make them.
Even though I'm to late for the swap, I will post your swap on my blog.
Hugz ...Betty
