O Holy Night

O Holy Night. That song levels me. The part where they sing, " Fall to your knees...." Puts me in tears every time. Haven't we all been there ? That point, when you are on your knees, and it is just you, and God. For whatever reason, you are alone, or sick, just hurting, and it is just you and God. Crying out to the one who made you for help. The ultimate Healer, for healing.
Or, maybe you were just healed, the check came, someone said they were sorry, the news was good news, and there you are, flat on your face, thanking Him. I don't know what you believe, or don't believe. But I am sure of a few things, we are all pretty much the same on the inside. We all hurt, ache, love and hope. Some things are guaranteed. This year is very different for me. We decided not to put up decorations. I still have a problem in my chest/ stomach area. I had an Upper GI today, and I DON'T have an ulcer. They are checking my gallbladder. I don't have stones, already had that test. But, needless to say, my tummy hurts, and decorations are too much right now. I love all of the foof, and I REALLY do. I am a big kid at Christmas, I love it all. But, it really isn't about all that stuff anyways. So, in lieu of really great Christmas pictures of my Awesome stash of vintage goodies, :), I will share my Vintage dutch kids collection. I stared collecting these in the 80's, I have always loved Holland, Finland, Switzerland and that part of the world, those beautiful big mountains, and miles and miles of green. Yep, saw Heidi more than a few times. I guess growing up in the west, I crave the green, and just having history. Most of these figurines were made during WW2. I have kind of quit adding to them in the last few years, as my eye catches new things to grab on to, and hoard.lol.

I love these old litho's of Dutch boy and Girl kissing. How cute are they ? And this great set of old coasters. I am not really into blue, but the graphics were just too sweet and I had to have them.

I am loving the Christmas season, and I hope that every minute of it is wonderful for all of you !! :)

Beautiful little pieces you have. Well I am lucky living in north europe. When looking out of my window i see green mountains around our house (not high, but enough)lots of wildlife. I know exactly what you mean. There is a spark in all of us coming from God, and theres no difference what religion och colour you belong to. I really hope you will recover and have a wonderful christmas /linnea-maria

Rhea, You sweetheart. There I was shamelessly begging for comments and you came right through for me. Thank you so much. Oh Holy Night gives me chills and my head bows, as if dropped by a puppet handler on a string at the chorus, "Fall on your knees...". It's humbling to read your post and feel the spirit you convey. I can't do personal and reach-out (shy) ; but I don't need to because you do it so well. Bless you and thank you. Devonia

Rhea - sure hope they figure out what is wrong with you and soon! Could it be food allergies? My BF had lots of tummy/skin trouble. She had one of those extensive food testing done and found out she is allergic to all kinds of things. Once she eliminates them, she feels better - indulges and the symptoms start again. Anyhoo, love your collection! I have the blue dutch delft china squares on the wall in my bedroom! Love, Esther

Rhea, I am so sorry to know that you are not feeling well. I am going to keep you in my prayers until you are feeling wonderful again.

I have had Crohns all my life and was not diagnosed until about 15 years ago. It's a long, hard road, but with love, hope, faith and prayers there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

My heart goes out to you sweet Rhea for a speedy recovery. xoxo
