46 Days till Christmas !!!!

Wow, another week flew by, dragging me behind it like a tin can tied to a car bumper. :) I didn't get as much done this week. Suddenly I FELT every day of being 42, as none of my body parts wanted to cooperate with my brain. We had a nice steak dinner out for my Birthday, and my sweet husband baked me cupcakes. Which by the way' were yummy !! Oops, I forgot to take a picture and share. My bad. He baked them up, and then stuck them in the fridge with a can of frosting. Sort of a frost (it yourself) and eat treat. Well, he tried !! lol. But, my poor tummy has rebelled the whole way. Kicking and screaming. lol. I bought this really cute play kitchen about eight months ago, actually Hubby spied it while we were out thrifting one day, yelling at me across the store "HHHHUUUUNNNNYY, Come here, you gotta see this !! " Ok, so I came and looked and thought, OH MY GOSH is that not the cutest thing ???????Well, isn't it ????Anyhoo, the poor man had to carry it around the store till I was finished shopping, as I didn't dare take the chance that someone would try and buy it first.

Ok, is that not adorable or what ? I made the little tea towel to match. :) I also made this sweet little pearl tree. The tree took no time, but the cup and saucer took forever to paint. LOL. The birdhouse I saw while sleeping. Yep, silly huh ? I literally had a dream about a gingerbread birdhouse, so that was the inspiration behind that. ( Yes, I know, we REALLY need a vacation !! lol ) I cant even sleep any more without glitter and paint invading my thoughts.

This is a picture of our dining room. Nothing fancy, just more in the tour of our home. I really need to re knick knack . It is funny, you move in and get it all pretty, and then you lay stuff here and there and before you know it, you just have STUFF sitting there that wasn't part of the plan. After Christmas , I am gutting my home, and staring all over. No, I love my furniture, you cant go wrong with creamy white as it is the perfect backdrop for anything, but, all the STUFF, plates , pictures etc. is getting dumped on the living room floor, and I am starting over.
Here is a pic of the family room. Well, actually, it is my sitting room as a tv doesn't fit in there. I sit in there in the mornings and read my magazines and Bible. I love it in there. One whole wall is windows so it is always so bright and cheery. This room is getting a makeover too. Losing the lavender and green. ( Not the walls, love THAT green ) and doing pink and soft white. Maybe a white slipcover on the sofa. And losing the big picture. There is something about pale green that is so soothing to me. It also feels cool in this hot desert I live in.
And finally, I made a few tiny putz style houses for etsy. They are so hard to find in soft pretty colors and so expensive, so I whipped these up. I actually made a set for me, and they were so cute that I stayed up till two the other night making a few more.

Well. I hope next week I am driving my own bus as opposed to being dragged behind it !! LOL. Be Blessed !!
