TIN ROOOOF .... RUSTED !!!!!

YOUR'E WHAT ????? Lol, Nope, I'm not pregnant !! Just thought I would post a little wall jewelry in our Love Shack. Walking around our home, snapping pictures, I realized that I REALLY must love aqua. It seems to be everywhere. It has such a vintage feel for me. A Happy Robin's egg kind of feel. I love the older brighter happy pinks, yellows , violets and blues from the 1930's and 40's. Clear, unmuted colors. Not muddied up like a lot of todays colors. I bought the violin from my friend Claudia, at Rock Spring Cottage. She is a painter of light !! The colors in her work are so vivid yet soft at the same time. Love, Love , Love her stuff !! She is an Artist whereas I dabble. The aqua tray was my Great Grandmothers and is in perfect condition, not one scratch, or bit of rust. Love it !! And probably my favorite rose painter ever is Sonie Ames. The two prints in the gold frames are done by her, she was primarily a china painter. Well, Hope you enjoyed a break with a bit of eye candy !!

It looks like you have way too many pretty things. I'll be right over to help fix that situation by taking the two cottage litho's, the little birdies and the aqua tray to add to my collection. Just kidding Miss Rhea. Your home must be one of the most peaceful and nourishing places on earth. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Rhea,

I love your pictures! All of them are so special. But my favorite has to be the rose painted violin on the window frame. Very clever! Love the placement of it all! I love the story about you and your Mom and your Grandma's buttons! What a treasure, indeed! Can't wait for your next post....

Have a wonderful day!
Kitty

P.S. - still loving my box! She's with all of my pretties. And yes, it has to be a she (right)?
