Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday !!

It has been a while since I was able to participate in this awesomely FUN Pink Party !! Thank you Miss Beverly, as always for being such a sweetheart and great Hostess !!! :) Please go tell her Hi, and see the other sweet pink girls :)

You may notice in the background of all of my goodies the two Shabby Pink Pillows. I bought them a few years ago on eBay and they are made by Sweet Brenda from Shabby Cats and Roses. I just LOVE them, if you cant already tell :) They are so beautifully made.I had been eying some pretty pink pillows, and my two favorite pillow makers, Lynn ( Teacup Stitches ) and Rebecca ( A Gathering Place ) were Way out of my price range and you had to almost have a knock down drag out with their loyal customers to get one :) Then one day I spied these two and low and behold, I swooped them up !!! ( and a few others ) Then Miss Brenda got a few of her own Loyal customers and behold, I had to give way to the pushing, pulling, tugging and biting of HER loyal customers :) So, Happily I am in pillow heaven, and no one had to get hurt. :) However, one of these days as our Shabby Budget allows, I am hoping to score a few more pillows from these girls :) They are the Best of The Best and each ones style is different.
Anyhooooo. My pink is a few goodies I found for Me and You this week Thrifting. Yippee !! I Love Thrifting and have missed it so. I found another few small cloches, I LOVE these !! :)An Eensy Weensy one, that I added to a small candlestick that I painted wee roses on.....Another Vintage Planter. This is So stinkin' Cute !!! I have not seen one like this before. It has two little dings, but I don't care. It will fit right in with my others :)And finally, This Vintage Kitty. She had a dingy, grubby black velvet ribbon on her hat and I soaked it off and added an aqua one and a few posies. She was also quite dirty as well. Is it just ME, or is it yucky to touch some of the dirt you find in a second hand store ? I always WASH everything I donate, and repair it if it is ripped, broken or whatever. Miss Anal here :) :)
This sweetie is Made in Japan, but I couldn't find any info on her. She looks similar to the Howard Holt cats, but she isn't. Anyone know ? She is getting and Honored spot with the Baby Planters in my Kitchen window :) I just KNOW gazing at her while doing my dishes will make the chore much more pleasant, don't you agree ?

Well, that is my Pinkness for this week. Thank you SO much for dropping by :)

Hugs,

Rhea

Happy Pink Saturday Rhea Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share today. Yes I could not agree with you more. It is so darn hard to get your hands on one of those pillows. I will keep trying myself as I haven't scored yet.

I love all your little cloches that you found. They are so delightful.

I think my favorite of all is the little kitty in the blue hat. I saw that and said, "be still my little heart." Oh what a cutie that one is.

Thanks for the beautiful Pink Saturday showing sweetie. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

G'morn Rhea ~ There are several books on Made In Japan pieces in the Antique Reference Guide books at B&N ... they show the tags/stamps & give details on the items within. We used to sell these kinds of books in our shops.

Your treasures are adorably cute, Rhea but those pillows are 2D4 ... there are several wonderful gals out there that make exquisite pillows ... what a luscious coup for you!

Sorry I have not been with you more lately. We finally finished both house constructions & took off for 2 weeks. I apologize, but will be better now.

Hello There Miss Rhea :) Not participating in Pink Saturday again this week, but when I saw your picture of those pillows of mine, I just had to stop in and say "Hello"! Goodness, you bought those pretties back when I first started selling on Ebay :) I checked my files, and the first was purchased in January of "07!! I'm so happy & blessed knowing that they went to a home that truly loves them....Thank YOU dear sweet friend!!

I hope that you are doing well, and wishing you a lovely Pinky Day!!

Warmest hugs to you, Brenda

I love your little kitty too. I'll be back to see you often and if you get a chance stop by and say hello.

Sweet Rhea,

I am so blessed that you came to visit with me! You have a lovely blog here, and I just love your graphic art blog. YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLE ARTIST! I just started sketching again after literally a 40 year hiatus. You do lovely work, and I would love to see more of it! I pray that your pain would subside, and that each day would bring you peace and rest. Do come back again for a virtual cup of tea....Anita
