Jenny's Vintage Vacation Swap Part 1

A few months ago I was in Jenny Heids Vintage Vacation Swap. We swapped goodies a while back and I am really late in sharing what we sent each other ! My Partner was Sweet Karen of Recycled Rita. She stated to me that she would love to travel to France, Italy and she really loved the idea of fixing up a Vintage Camper and seeing this beautiful Country. I decided that camping it was !

Since we both really loved the Movie "The Long, Long Trailer", I planned her trip around that :) I made her a large box covered with a vintage Southern California Map. The same map that My Mom used every year when I was little, on our annual California/Disney/Beach trip that we took with my Godmother and her two daughters. I added mermaids, from images Elizabeth (Creative Breathing ) shared, Seashells, glitter, pearls and pretty taffy colored papers.

I filled it with Cotton Candy, Chicklets, Animal Cookies, Crafting supplies and other handmade goodies. Must have Munchies while traveling !

Also the Movie "The Long, Long Trailer", Vintage bathing beauties, a vintage menu, and travel Postcard booklets from The Redwoods, Cypress Gardens and Yellowstone Park. Fun, Fun !!!!

I made her a Large Mermaid tag, and a Shell magnet with tiny pink seashell flowers :)

And this Journal to record her Future Camping trips :)
I REALLY loved having this sweet lady as my partner, and really enjoyed getting to know her better :) This was fun !! Cant wait till next year ! Tomorrow I will share what she sent me, SPOILED me with is more like it !

Thank you SO very much for the prayers you have sent our way. I cant begin to tell me how much you each Bless me and my family. Please still keep my Mom in prayer. We met with the surgeon, but we are still waiting on a surgery date. :(

Hugs,

Rhea

Oh these tags and things you made are just so darn cute. The mermaid is darling and I like the way you decorated the shell with making the pink flowers. There are some very talented ladies out there in Blog Land and you are one of them !

Sweet Rhea,

I've missed dropping in to say hello. I just adore the goodies you created for your swap partner. No doubt she loved it as much as you enjoyed making it.

I hope you are feeling better. I, myself, am not doing so great but pray every day that the Lord will help me through this trying time as long as it may last and give me the strength I need to find myself in a happier place. Please put me on your prayer list!

All my love,
Cathy

Hi Rhea!
I Did Love every bit of my swap goodies!!! I still have the box and tag out in my kitchen and the magnet on my fridge!
I must have missed the post about your mom but I can tell you that my friend just had a large cancerous tumor and her thyroid removed and she is doing very well. Her voice is softer but she healed quickly (she is young though only 30 so take that into consideration)
I will keep her in my prayers and you too! hugs!karen....
