Pink Saturday, April 4th, 2009

Happy Pink Saturday !!!! Our Sweet Host Beverly has once again assembled such a wonderful group of sweet ladies for her Pink Saturday's group. :) I hope that you each go and say Hi to her and all of those on her list. Thank you Beverly !!!!

Well, I know I said I was going to finish up and list Easter items last weekend, but I relapsed and spent the week in bed again. Literally, 6 days of it. My legs are getting worse and are on fire most of the time. I am more unsteady on my feet and stumble and fall now quite a bit. I did however see a Neurologist Finally and have many tests scheduled in the next few weeks, MRI on my brain and spine, Brain wave test, sensory tests with needles on my legs and arms. This is now the third Dr. that has mentioned MS , but we wont know for sure until all of the tests are completed. It has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster for me this week, One day I am fine, and then the next in tears. I lost my Beautiful Stepmother Pam 6 years ago to this disease and kind of know what to expect, although medicines are getting better, people are different in how they manifest the disease and most importantly, I don't even know if I for sure have it yet, so no need to dwell. And..... The Wonderful Grace of Our Lord just shines down His love on me constantly, and it is hard to be sad for long :)

Plus, Oh My word, Easter is almost upon us, My most favorite of all Holidays :) Spring is here and everything is just so beautiful right now, it is hard not to get caught up in the Joy of the Season :) It will be 115 degrees here before long, so I will love and embrace every second of this Beautiful weather :)
Here are a few of my Pink things ( well, with a bit of aqua thrown in , of course ) this week. These will all be in my store by tonight. ( Promise !! :) )

Pink Baby Buggy Faux cookies. :)
Everyday Sugar cookies, also in Pink with Yummy Faux Sugar glitter :)

Easter cookies, with Bunnies and Eggs. :) I truly love my Faux cookies and just LOVE this design of Faux Foods. They are so real looking in person and sparkle like real sugar :) I have hearts, birdhouses, bluebirds and others ready as well. :) Sweet huh ??? :)

I bought these little wooden egg looking containers last year and finally got a few painted. Well, 2 of the 4 that I have :) But that IS progress right ? lol !! :) I added bunnies to both, embellished to match. They just need a few jelly beans and those YUMMY See's white chocolate pastel eggs, or Reeses eggs, Yum!!!! :)

I hadn't painted roses in so long I was worried I would forget how. But I think they look the same as I used to paint. I even had to stop and try and remember how to do it !! lol !! :)

I love this tiny metal basket. It isn't pink, BUT, it has pink roses and a sweet bunny with a Pink nose and ears. And Pink Easter grass :) So this qualifies , right ?

Well, That is my Pinkness for this Saturday. As Ever, I am SO truly Blessed by each one of you that come to visit me, even though I haven't been as faithful a friend to visit in return. I am considering a Bloggy break and shutting down my store for a bit after Easter, as I really need to just focus on all of these tests and the diagnosis that might FINALLY after 2 1/2 years be coming my way. I also would like to re decorate our home. Not anything new, just taking it all down and rehanging, organizing and looking at things in a new way. But I am still kicking that around as I really , truly cherish each of you and my heart swells when I read such lovely comments. I feel so isolated these days, as I cant even drive anymore and each of you are my World, if you know what I mean. I told hubby today that after his two days off, when he goes back to work, I go back to my House arrest :) lol !!! I am joking for the most part when I say that. :) My life did a complete 180 degrees in three years. I was a faux finisher and was up on the very top rung of the ladder to paint, sometimes standing and balancing on one foot, and now, I stand up sometimes, and find myself suddenly at floor level to my Chihuahua's , lol !! :) I am Graceful in ways I never thought I would be, lol !! :)

However, I still absolutely LOVE my life. About 99.9% of it, so change isn't bad, only different :) I think it only hurts, if you expect things to stay the same. The more willing you are to hop on the boat and let it carry you to wherever, the easier Life is. Standing on the shore, you are fair game for Alligators :)

So with that Ultra Wise beyond my years advice, ( Hee , Hee !!! ) I bid you a wonderful Pink Saturday !!!! :)

Hugs,

Rhea

Oh Sweetie I'm so sorry for what you are going through. My prayers are with you and a BIG HUG!
If I ever get out of line with my back porch research let me know. You see, after years of watching various family members and my husband and myself just get treated for symptoms and not the cause, my feathers get a bit ruffled when I hear of someone suffering with their health and the doctors not being able to help them. I know we've spoken before about foods and such but recent findings suspect a link between gluten (celiac disease and MS). The information is new and it may not even apply to you but isn't it worth checking out?

I'm not trying to sell you anything. I'm just a bit amped up after going to the doctor's with my hubby yesterday and the doc wants him to take high blood pressure meds which can cause a heart attack if you are on diabetes meds which he is. More covering up the symptoms and not attacking the source.
So, Lord, I pray for healing discovery and discernment for my friend Rhea. I pray the doctors find out what is really going on and if she should be consulting more with a nutritionist that those doors would be opened leading her to where you want her to go. I also pray for comfort for her while on this journey and strength and comfort for those who love her.
In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Pink Saturday is one of those times that I indulge myself and my ♥ of the color pink. Today your blog helped to fill my pink-a-licious desire. Thanks so much!

If you leave for very long, you will be sorely missed :(

Rhea my sweet, your pictures today are gorgeous and the colors are so beautiful. Soft pinks and blues. You still paint the prettiest roses. Some days are hard, some not so. It is difficult when you aren't sure what you are dealing with. One day at a time my friend, they are all gifts. I look to see what the drs. say. Be well and happy, be safe and loved, you are not alone, Happy Pink Saturday, Char

what lovely things you have! You are quite a talented painter and artist. I am so sorry for your health issues. It's so hard to understand why we must go through the valleys sometimes, but we must keep our eyes focused upward and trust with a reckless faith that we are being led always by the loving, guiding hands of our Father.

May He grant you healing, peace and grace.

I am amazed how cute the blue and pink bunnies. You are a very creative person. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I had legs on fire also. A friend of mine told me to start exercising and to take vitamins and minerals. I actually got better. It has been two years now. I will miss you. If you can don't stop blogging. Perhaps you can still do it.

I know how hard it is to be sick, and how frustrating it is not to know what is wrong. I pray that you will find out soon just what is wrong so that you and your doctors can take the necessary steps for getting you to feel better. You have such a lovely attitude, and I know that you will be ok, and that you will be able to handle whatever it is, because you have faith in God, and He will see you through this trial.

I hope you are able to continue blogging, as I love your blog so much, it is such a source of beauty, but of course I understand if you are not able to, just know you will be missed!

I love all the beautiful things you shared with us today!

Have a lovely weekend!

I'm reading this after your email this morning so I had no idea you were being "nose-to-nose" with your babies, chick!

What can I say? You've said it all. I keep on being happy no matter what also because I know what's in store.
"I've read the Book and know the ending" is what I always tell people. It is but a moment in time - these trials.

Right now, I'm frustrated but I'll have to post a blog about it today. So read there is you want to hear about it. I need to blog to get it off my chest.

xoxo to you and hubs and keep strong,

I wish I lived near you. I would be your driver and take you wherever you wanted to go...or just come have tea and watch you paint your beautiful roses and chat. I love your sweet spirit and attitude about life. After crying over your news, I laughed at the thought of alligators on the shore. I'm so glad you are in the boat...with Christ at the helm.

Thank you sweet sister for you lovely post on my blog. You are always so encouraging. ((( ))) Karen

Oh gosh, Rhea, I'm so sorry for all of your pain and suffering. I've just now begun to blog again after breaking my arm last fall. It seems to take so long to get back in the swing of things.

I love your blog so much and you are a true inspiration to all of us that are not quite "healthy".

Thanks for your wisdom, dear friend.
