Pink Saturday

Welcome to another Pink Saturday hosted by Sweet Miss Beverly, of How Sweet The Sound. :)

I haven't done a lot of decorating this year, due to just plain not feeling well. Last year at this time, I was having gallbladder surgery and I had high hopes that this year I would be back to great health. But, we get what we get and make the best of it. So, I did put up two small trees and our Nativity. The pretty vintage ornaments in the above picture I just found at the thrift store a few weeks ago and had to drag them home. It didn't matter at the time that I have a Huge tub of them packed away. Could you have resisted these at 25 cents each ? :)

I put up a three foot white tree so I could enjoy the pink and aqua ornaments that my mom made me this year. :) It is so soft and pretty all lit up. :) The sweet angel was from Lolly last Christmas, I just love her. Thank you Lolly !! :) I made some pink and blue hearts a few months ago, with clear glass glitter and silver glass glitter on the edges. You cant tell in the picture, but they are so sparkly and pretty :)
A few pink reindeer and glitter houses. My hands are really shaky this week so it was hard to get good pictures.

Part of our old German Nativity.

And lastly, these are not pink, but I treasure and cherish them. My Grandfather brought these little made in Japan bells home from WW2 for my Great Grandmother. I always have them on a little tree of their own.

I wish you a Pink Christmas !!! Please go visit Beverly and say hi to all the participants :)

Hugs,

Rhea

Oh, Rhea, I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Like you, I haven't done a lot of Christmas decorating for the very same reason! I had surgery last year this time too! I was hoping to do an even better job celebrating this year as well, but just haven't had any extra energy! Well, I hope you have a lovely Christmas! Good thing for us that the Spirit of Christmas lives in the heart and not in the amount of decorations one has out, LOL! :) ((hugs)) to you and here's to both of us feeling better soon! :)

I used to have ornaments exactly like the vintage ones you're displaying. They broke one by one, year after year. (sigh) Your house is lovely despite your illness. I wish you a better 2009. Happy Pink Day!

You are not alone, I did less than have of my normal decorating because of my foot surgery. Kind of hard to decorate from a wheelchair. Things are more simple, but that is ok. I am enjoying the true blessigns of Christmas. Your ornaments are beautiful, I wish you a very happy Christmas and a New Year full of good health.

Merry Christmas Rhea to you and your family! I didn't get to decorate as much as usual either. I haven't had enough energy to do everything like I used to. Working in retail during the holidays is just so hard for me now. It zaps all of my energy. Maybe this coming year will be different. Your decorations are beautiful.

Blessings,
Lee Laurie

Well Rhea your post is awesome. I have to admit this is my first year not decorating. The spirit has gone and flown away somewhere and I have been desperately trying to find it. I pray it comes back in time for 2010.

In the meantime I'm going to just enjoy the Reason for the Season.

Love to you and yours,

xo Cathy
