Moving Right Along

Well, Moving right along. The Dr. appt was a HUGE letdown. This guy says I don't have Chronic Costochondritis, he said after two minutes of tapping on me with his bony finger, that I have Fibromyalgia . Well, the thing is, I don't have any symptoms of Fibro, really. I have what feels like a knife sticking in my heart. It is there 24/7 and never goes away. I have pain in my ribs, and swelling that you can visibly see. ( he didn't want to even look at that ) The pain makes me tired, sometimes nauseas and I feel weak. It is very centralized though, not all over like Fibro would be I am told. I have a torn ligament in my back that wont heal. And a really bad pinched nerve in my neck that I am in the Physical Therapy for. Those things are a result of supporting a weakened core. So.............I am going to see if my insurance will ok me going to a Mayo clinic in a neighboring state, or to UCLA medical center for a complete work up. This "Specialist" that I saw yesterday, is only one of Three in Las Vegas and the waiting list for the other two is about six months, which is what the follow up would be with this guy.

Ok, Enough of that. :) Here are some SWEET things that have been making me smile lately. :) New little Compo baby doll. :) The lady who sold her to me even wrapped her up in this sweet rosebud diaper !! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww..................

A vintage baby dresser jar, in pink and blue with teeny rosebuds. :)

Literally couldn't get out of the thrift store fast enough with this sweet girl. She looks like a candle is supposed to fit in her arms.

This pretty bowl was sent to me by my dear friend Connie. :) I LOVE the pretty aqua and have it in my kitchen. Thank You Chickadee !!!! :) :) :)

Bought this print because I collect old Cottage prints and this one really reminds me of The Sound of Music ( my all time favorite movie ) I imagine that Maria Von Trapp is the girl in the pic. :) I did a little Before and After to the frame so it would fit in our home. :)

Do you like that PINK chenille bedspread ? Well that is one of my offerings for My First Flea Market Friday next week. :)

This sweet card makes me smile, I got this for My Best Friend and it was SO cute that I went back and got one for ME to frame so I can look at it and be reminded how Blessed I am that I have her friendship. :) I got it Here.

Yep, more dolls. If you don't like dolls then you are probably hating my blog these days. lol !! These little sweeties are both from the 50's, not sure of the maker, they both say Made In USA, so hard to tell. The tiny one is only 12" high. I haven't seen many that size. My poor Chihuahua's are sick of me talking to them all day, so these girls are going to cut the slack, lol !! :)

And finally, Could you just reach into the screen and pinch some Cheekage here ???

Smile. :) I hope my latest thrifty purchases have made YOU smile this week. :)

Hugs,

Rhea

Doctors can be so frustrating, especially for the chronically ill. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and have been relatively lucky with my dr's but a couple have been really...lame, to put it nicely. Some just can't be bothered with diseases they're not familiar with and can't diagnose with a simple blood test. I wish you the best finding a dr who will truly listen to you; they are out there!

Hello sweet Rhea,

Awe, sweetie, sorry to hear what you have been going through. I know you mentioned your illness before, but I din't know exactly what it was. I had never heard of that before. I was surprised to learn that symptoms of fibromyaligia have pain symptoms like that of Chronic Costochonditis. I hope you can get a full diagnosis and help for it soon.

I love your dolls! I can never tire of seeing your lovely goodies that you find! Did your dolls come dressed so prety like that, or did you make the outfits?

Sorry you aren't doing well! I have fibro and it doesn't sound like you do at all. I hope you can get in at the Mayo clinic or other facility that will be able to figure things out! I had fibro for over 15 years before I found a doctor who could give me a diagnosis! And when I researched it myself I felt good with his diagnosis. Not fun to have but at least I know what's wrong! Prayers and hugs to you! Your treasures did make me smile!

Oh Rhea! I am so sorry you didn't find a reason for your pain. I can't compare mine to yours as that heart pain sounds excruciating but know that I feel for you! I am so sorry you had to deal with someone copying you. Those rats! At least the thrifting fairies have been with you. You found some wonderful treasures. I really, really love the little pink girl and that bride and groom!!

I am so, so sorry he didn't have any answers for you. This may sound corny, but have you considered contacting, Dr. Oz from the Oprah show? Medical mysteries seem to be right up his alley.

I completely agree with you it doesn't sound like fibromyalgia. Have you went to a heart specialist? I really hope someone will find the right problem and the right cure for you! Im sending a pray for you! Nice to read your comment in swedish, did you use a translation programme? It was very sweet written! You had found so nice things at your flea market round. Many hugs and blessings /linnea-maria

Rhea, thank you for featuring my card. I have added a link to your site in my latest post.

Sorry about your pain. Doctors can be very frustrating. Pray, ask God for guidance and do your own research. He will show you what the problem is. BTW, He is the Great Physician!!! :)

I know it's so frustrating when you know your sick and the doctors can't find out what's wrong. Someone, SOMEWHERE has to know what the key is to why you're feeling so bad!

Those dolls are precious! I hope the puppies aren't too jealous!

Rhea, I can only imagine what you go through and through it all you have a tremendous spirit. You are an inspiration to me as you keep going and love the Lord with all your heart counting your blessings at the same time as you are suffering. I wish that there was some way that I could make this go away. Know that you are always in my prayers and PLEASE know that when you leave little snippets like this about you, you actually glow and are a light for those of us who encounter little things (that we think are huge) and help us to cope. Hugs to you.
