Cakeplates and Mom's Ornaments

A very Sweet friend of mine, Miss Vickie, just opened her website not too long ago and she has some Gorgeous stuffage. :) I REALLY want these two sweet ladies, aren't they sweet ?? She has lovely Victorian tea things, vintage plates and some really neat lady pin cushions. I hope you go sign her guest book and say Hi. :)

My Mom came over the other day and brought me some ornaments that she made for Us. I am Pretty sure they heard my squeal of joy a few blocks away. :)
She started these mini pillows about 6 months ago and has worked on them a little each night after work. OH MY GOSH are these SWEET ????? I am having a little white tree in the family room this year, so she made these teeny tiny for it. Look at how sweet and yummy these are !! :) I have them in the pretty basket that Bertie made for me. :)
Do I have a great Mom or what ?? :)

I found lots of neat stuff this week thrifting, but I am saving it for First Friday's sale on September 5th. Cant wait and I am overjoyed at all of the Sellers that will be participating. Please email me if you want to be on the list of merchants. :)

I can show you these though as I am keeping them. I found two nice sized bags of tiny vintage mercury glass beads. Aren't these pretty ? I am going to make a funnel tree like the one that my Great Grandma made that Mom has, see here.

I also found a Vintage Christmas corsage and more glass beads, these are larger and someone made them into a necklace.

Do you like the compote ? Actually, it is two pieces. I found some pretty Christmas plates and glued on crystal bases. I have them on My Etsy along with the pretty blue cake plate below.

Isn't this a gorgeous shade of periwinkle blue ??

I have been selling these on ebay for a few years now and am adding these to my Etsy shop. The sweet pastry ones with glass cloches I sold last month on Etsy. Aren't they pretty ?? I have four more similar ones that I will be listing soon. Just need the glue to cure on them. Yummy !! Three cupcakes fit nicely inside there. Or a small cake. I use only Vintage plates with the exception of the Christmas ones, those are new, but I couldn't resist the tiny berries.

I Loved this one !! :)

Here are a few in my kitchen. The cookies were Yummy. :)
There is something that is on my heart.. I think I am a pretty good prayer warrior, so if there is ever anything that you would like an extra bit of prayer on, please email me and I would LOVE truly to add my prayers to yours. I am SLOW on returning emails with not feeling great, but my head drops the second someone asks me for prayer. I know it seems that my Blog is mostly pretty pictures, but there is a lot of praying going on behind the scenes and I consider that an honor and a privilege to do so for you. :) And I truly think that every prayer that has been said for me has been answered. I am BLESSED beyond all that I could have imagined my life to be. I know that your prayers and kindness have made this last year so much easier for me. Thank you truly from the bottom of my heart. :)

I am gearing up for Pink Saturday. I am so excited I did get some new things made this week and will be listing them soon. Just need the final touches. Hope you are having a BLESSED week.

Hugs,

Rhea

What lovely little ornaments! Your mother is very talented, I see where you get your talent from! Such a sweet offer for prayer, I will keep it in mind for sure, there's really no better gift to give someone than to intervene for them in prayer. You can count me in if you ever need prayer as well!

Your Mom is great- what sweet and intricate ornaments. The mercury glass beads are so pretty on the Christmas plate- they look like candy!

Can I ask what kind of glue you used to make your pedestal plates? I've been wanting to the same thing with some sundae glasses and silverplate trays.

The first pedestal plate with the dome on it brought back memories. When I got my first apartment in college, my Mom bought me a set of dishes at a rummage sale in that pattern-years later I found out the name is "Hazel".

Take good care Rhea, I always enjoy you beautiful posts and positive attitude.
