Show and Tell Sunday ~ Ephemera

Sweet Cerri from " Little Pink Studio" is hosting this weeks Show and Tell Sunday. And the Theme is " Vintage Ephemera" And here is the really Cool part. My very dear friend Bertie, from " Aunt May's Cottage" sent me some this week !!! She had an extra Romantic Country magazine that she overbought and decided to send it to me, sweet lady that she is. And, here I am minding my own business, thumbing through the pages and stuff started falling out !! Yay !!! I though she accidentally left the things in there, but Nope, they were ALL for me !! :) Pretty roses printed fabric for making pillows and sachets ( she has some of these in her shop and they are GORGEOUS !! )

Sweet Victorian scrap. Gosh, I LOVE the forget me nots and lily of the valley !!
One of her beautiful fans. This is so much prettier in person than it is showing on my camera. I Love it !! Thank You So Much Bertie !!! You are such a sweetheart !!! :)

Ok, this weeks topic was easy for me. I have Ephemera all over this house. I like to frame it, so that I can enjoy it. These two little cards were valentines that my Sweet Great Auntie got in the 1930's.

1940's confirmation cards and an Easter Angel post card. Love the color in these all litho's. And really love the baby Jesus card.

I have piles of old sheet music. Some found on ebay and some found at the Salvation Army thrift store here in town.

I love Crosses, and have them all over the house. And I Love The One who Died on a Cross for Me so that I could spend Eternity with Him. :)
Seriously , I could go for days with the paper stash in this house, lol !! But I am a bit wiped out from Pink Saturday, so I will stop right here.

I started a little Blog Boutique, called " Sweet n Shabby Stuff " that I opened today. I will be adding all kinds of vintage treasures to it in the weeks to come, so Go have a looksee. This sweet doll is one of the offerings. :)
Be sure and stop by and see all the other fun Sunday blogs !!!

Hugs,

Rhea

What a beautiful collection! I have only recently started collecting vintage ephemera. Imagine my surprise and delight to see the sweet little girl and boy valentine from your great aunt. I have one just like it! I had to buy mine though, lol. I made copies of it to use on ATCs. I called them Jeune Amour/Young Love

Hello Miss Rhea!

Oh, I do love coming here so much because I am always rewarded with a whisper soft breeze of sweet shabby goodness - your sense of color and style is so wonderful! LOVE your paper pretties - the crosses, music (great titles), framed cards - all so tasteful and sweet! Loved looking at your pink photos too from this weekand & last....lovely. And I'd like to stand up for the under-rated violet - all shades of purple are so beautiful to me..your collection is really pretty!

Congrats on your blog boutique - it's GREAT! Make a splash about it on your blog so all can see!! I'm about to start one myself...but it's a lot of set up/photography work...hopefully it will be worth it...

I truly love my visits here. Take care and have a lovely week!!

Hugs and Blessings,
Becky S.

Hi Rhea, Sarah wanted to tell you she has arrived safely. She was so glad to get out of her traveling Bag! Had a sponge bath and now in a lovely tissue robe. Waiting for
her new Mother to work on her dress. Also wanted to say Thank You for her stay at your Beautiful Home. She thought it was a Happy Place and loved your music.
She will miss the other girls and all the talk about new designs. She will check on your new blog for fashion updates. Sarah sends her Love and said to remember to drink your water:)
