Pink Saturday

I love PINK Saturdays !! I love Pink EVERYDAY !! :) I thought I would share some of my Pink Pillows !! I had made the one on the left, when I saw the one on the right on my friend Connie's website and had to have it. It looks so cute with my Southern Belle. She does such a fantastic job, this pillow is just as cute as can be, and the two look made for each other. (Please click on images for larger views. )

These two I bought on Ebay. I love the " Sweet Sue" fabric and who doesn't love Barkcloth ? These are really sweet, and have vintage hankies on them . You can NEVER have enough pillows !!

My sweet Husband bought this old PINK scale for me a few Christmas's ago. This is my FAVORITE Kitchen thingymabob. I get happy just walking in there because of this sweet thing. :)

I bought this sweet lady for myself this week. Oh My Land, PINK Hair , I want Pink hair !! Actually, I think I Did have Pink hair back in the 80's, lol !!!!

My Mom gave me this old silk ribbon roses pin. My Great Grandmother made it in the 1930's-1940's. I just love it and I am so Blessed to have more of her things. My Great Grandmother came over in a boat from Italy, and met and married my Great Grandfather who was an ornery old coot. He drank lots of Elixer and was quite the funny guy. When my mom was older she realized that Grandpa's Cough Elixer was loaded with alcohol, so that explained much. He always said he came from a long line of Cattle rustlers, so That side of the family tree is a bit sketchy.
Great Grandmother taught me to embroider and to sew and was very artistic. She was adept at all cloth work, from tatting, to quilting to hand beading. She was the inspiration for these felted ornaments that I make to give and sell each year for Christmas.

Please go look at all of the PINKNESS going on today. :) Tomorrow I am playing along for Show and Tell Sunday, Cerri is hosting this week, so come back and see what the theme is this week !!

Hugs,

Rhea

Happy Pink Saturday, Rhea. I have to say that I love it all. The pillows, the doll with pink hair, your story about your grandmother, and those lovely ornaments you make. I'll have to follow up on those because cameos are another one of my passions.

Wow, where do I begin! The pillows are beautiful. I especially like the ones with the hankies :) The story of your great grandmother was very sweet. I always wanted to learn to do tatting!

I love...really love, those hearts you made. You must have inherited your great grandmother's talents.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Those precious ornaments must look fabulous on the tree. So many pretty pretties. I agree ... you can't have too many pillows. With 4 kids + hubby, all my pillows are well-loved (and scrunched, and tossed, and ...) and I am incessantly "plumping." : )
