My First Bloggie Give Away !!

I had a very busy week last week. Kept hoping to pop in here and do a nice long post, but it was just one thing after another all week. I had a few days in bed with more of the same pain I have had all these months. My Dr. had said it might be a while before the pain fully goes away. I hope that is all it is. I am going in to see him tomorrow just to be safe. I bought a few things at the thrift store last week, and cleaned them up and played around with them a bit. I might add a rose to each candle holder, what do you think ? They need something, maybe some seam binding and millinery ? Hmmmmm. The little jar is sweet with my new brooch that hubby got me for Christmas. I will fill it up with some good stuff, just cant make up my mind what. :) Having creative blocks. lol

Ok, here is the fun part !!! I am doing my FIRST Bloggie giveaway !! I hit my first 100 sales on Etsy and want to share the LOVE !! :) So, ANYONE that leaves a comment on my blog, is entered. Hopefully you will have pity on me and give me a tip on those candle holders. I will draw a name on Sunday the 20th and announce the winner on Monday morning the 21st. The prize is my sweet Valentine party hat !!!
And ......................If that wasn't enough fun and excitement for you, My 50th post is two posts away, so I will be having another give away in about a week or so. Are you still breathing ? Or did you pass out on the floor from all of the excitement ? I know I personally am sucking on the smelling salts as we speak. Oh. thats right, you aren't supposed to eat them !! Hmmmmmm...........................lol.

Hey Honey!

Rhea...you are NOT going to believe me..but last week I put one of those soft pinky tops to a crystal candle holder and painted roses on it! Okay...do we have great thinking alike minds or what...and how many miles away are we from each other! I have had them both tucked in my closet, forever, saw them the other day and painted some roses on the glass...but they will probably go in my living room....now you have such a special touch with all you do, whatever you do will be amazing!

The hat is just adorable! I DO hope you get to feeling better..don't forget to ask the doc about what I told you!!!!

An idea for the candle hurricanes- how about some of those rub-on flourishes they make for scrapbooking? Of course, I don't know if they are flameproof- and the candles are pretty just as is...love the Valentine hat. Can I ask where do you get your frilly paper fringe?

Oh Miss Reha, I am sorry you are not 100% better yet!
You are in my prayers sweetpea!

Love the junk store finds...I say the candle holders really do need your roses on them...that would be the icing on the cake!

I would love to win the valentine hat....I could then wear it for my birthday....next month!
Te-hee!
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Luvs ya,

The jar looks good with the broch and ribbon. I guess you have som short pieces of lace or ribbons you can fill it up with. The candleholders look right just as they are, after you painted them white.
That little Valentine party hat is adorable.
Hope that you will feel better tomorrow /linnea-maria

Roxie Morrow said...

Oh! I have an idea for the candleholders. How about placing a clear glass saucer underneath and turning the candleholder upside down, then fill the inside with some pretty Valentine's Altered Art. Orrrrrrr...Leave them the way they are on top of the candlestick and make cute lil bird's nests out of them.
I can't wait to see what you come up with, you're gonna show us right?

Hope your pain goes away soon and the Doc will figure this out.

Hope you are feeling better soon, the recovery after surgery can be so hard. Take care, listen to the doctors and follow their rules, I used to try to do too much after surgery and would end up with complications. REST!

Wow! Look at all the comments!

I kinda like the candles in the ring of flowers. I know. I'm not much help. I really like the jar with the ribbon and brooch. I just a few minutes ago packed up a jar to take to the store. I was wondering what to do with it. I probably can't make mine look as good as yours, though.
