Merry Christmas

Well, I finally got most of my test results back, and it looks like surgery for me this week, more than likely on Thursday. My gallbladder is only functioning at 19%, so that explains all the pain that I have had for almost 5 months. The original ultrasound said I didn't have gallstones, so they didn't think it was my gallbladder. I have to admit, I have been very scared, as my Grandmother died of pancreatic cancer, and with them looking over everything, and not finding anything, I was worried. I am so thankful that it is JUST my gallbladder. But, here comes the baby in me, I have never had surgery, and every time I go into the hospital, they end up messing something else up. So, I would really appreciate prayer.

Well, they also found out that I am diabetic. To be honest, that is freaking me out worse than the surgery. I have always been healthy and active, and this just really bites. This is one of those times, that I could kick myself for not taking better of myself. Anyhow, this will probably be my last post till Christmas, so I want to say how very grateful I am, for my friendships here in blogland, and that I wish EVERY good treasure for each of you and your families. I truly am Blessed and grateful. Hugs,
Rhea

Rhea, I'm sorry you have to have surgery but I know you will feel so much better when it is done. As for the diabetes, my best advice is to find a good dietitian and stick to whatever they tell you to do. You can live a happy, healthy life with diabetes as long as you follow the "rules". Bless you Rhea and have a wonderful Christmas.

Good luck with your surgery. Once it is over and you have recovered you will feel wonderful. My 84 year old Aunt had her gallbladder out 4 weeks ago and is fighting fit and back doing everything for herself again. Diabetes is a managable condition so you'll be fine.
Take care.
