Knock, Knock. Who's There ? Pretties for your door !! I wanted to share a great Vintage item that you wouldn't normally think about, Door Knockers. But I couldn't find any good pictures of any. You see, they are quite rare. And if you find them with the great pastel colors, quite costly. The last picture is one of these beauties. This one is mine, and made by Hubely in the 1930's. I was lucky to find it, and at only ten dollars !! They usually run about $65 - $85 depending on the color and condition. I did however find a few pictures of Hubely Cast Iron door stops. These are lovely, and the aqua, pink combinations, the most sought after. These can run in the several hundreds, so while I might drool, they probably wont be gracing my doors.I just love the 30's and 40's !! Well. I am off to Church, but wanted to leave some pretties before I left. *smiles*
