Thrifty Finds

We went Thrifting on Black Friday. I was really surprised as it was SO busy ! Are people buying for themselves or buying used items for gifts ? There were no sales at any of the Thrift stores. Hmmmmm.

Despite all of the people, we did score LOTS of Yummy Vintage Goodness !!!! I am adding them to the shop tonight. Are these PINK velvet elves just the Cutest EVER ????? I love their silly faces and ball noses :)
We found lots of painted China. This plate is SO pretty, I love forget me nots !!! :)
There were THREE identical of these below !! Can you believe it ? These are all larger plates too, like dinner size. This someone painted on Half of a tile. The tile is sort of a spongy finish. Like someone sponged pearl over plain white. But that is baked into the tile and the roses painted over it. I imagine this was used as a hot pad as there is felt on the bottom ? It really is pretty :)
This was the SCORE of the day. It is Huge ! Like a charger plate. This is an old German plate. Trust me, I want to keep ALL of this divine Loot, but I simply have no more room !! Waaaaa !!!I made a set of Vintage Violets for the Violet lover. A pretty hand painted antique brooch, Millinery, a cup and a painted little saucer. Violets are the ultimate in charm I think. Their tiny happy buds always say, forever friendship and sweetness to the receiver.Question, do you like the idea of Sets and instant collections ? Or would you rather just buy one piece at a time from someone ? I kind of like the idea of seeing someones vision with the pairing of found objects. Maybe things I wouldn't have thought to pair together. The reason I ask, is that I have so many small orphan do-dads here, that I would like to offer up collections. It is nice to belong to a group, don't you think ? :)

Darling bisque Angels, sigh............................. Cute !!!!!And this sweet PINK girl. Crinoline Lady, Southern Belle, Pretty, Pretty !!!Ok, I NEVER find these, AND Children's AND a Pair ????!!! Wow !!!! Two antique hat stands for a child's hats. And, sweetly painted with iris's. They are just darling. No, they are not Pink OR Aqua, ( aren't you surprised I would buy anything that wasn't ? lol !!! ) BUT , way too sweet to pass up. I just know someone will cherish them like they need to be :)And lastly, these are destash from some of my own. I just have WAY too many vintage ornaments !! I made the glitter and tulle adornments. I have been making these for about ten years now to decorate packages with. So, I threw some into some of my sold packages this year as I have LOTS. :) I added three to the ornaments for sale. Do you like ? Well, sorry for the shameless Shop plugging. I just don't want any of you to miss out. I am adding more decorated Christmas trees, etc. tomorrow and the rest of the week. ( If I keep feeling good :) )

Much Love my sweet friends this Christmas season !!! :) :)

Hugs,

Rhea
