" The Road to a Friends House......."

This is a sweet little box of treasures I have been working on. I love painting my roses, but sometimes just need a break, and new inspiration. I was making this box for a girl in one of my clubs, as our theme was Pumpkin, but decided she was probably more traditional than this box, so , EEEEKK, I have to start over on her project. lol. However, I was loving the colors on this sweet little box, so I kept adding little blueish aqua items. The hang tags you probably saw in another post, and the buttons, but I did paint a little seashell, with Forget me Nots and added some great Vintage hand tatted lace that I found at a flea market as well as a ballerina ( have been eyeing Holly's and had to get some.) I have been in an aqua kind of mood lately. I am painting a vanity tray for ebay that has aqua, as well as working on some Christmas stuff. ( I swore last year I would start earlier ! ) It is just a fun color !! I guess I need to start thinking Orange Pumpkin ! ( Eewy ! ) lol

  3. Rhea, that is just precious! I hope my "pumpkin" turns out half as cute as that. I think I'm doing a pink one though. :-)

  4. Rhea,

Everything looks so very pretty. The seashell is absolutely beautiful. Your painting is wonderful! It is sometimes hard to be in a "pumpkin" mood in the middle of summer. Can't wait to see your Christmas items.
