Well, here is our wee tree :) We bought this little tree the year before last because I haven't been able to drag out the whole Christmas Hoopla !!! I did however go through boxes of ornaments to find the ones I wanted for this years tree. :) The little Aqua angel had a big gold star on the back, that I sprayed white and have yet to glitter, and reattach to her, sigh. Seems like there is always some project awaiting my time, lol ! :) Please enjoy the pictures ! :)
Our Vintage Italian Nativity. I have all of the pieces, yet I always seem to just display Joseph, Mary and Baby Jesus. Just think what it must have been like that night. A poor scared young girl, still in her teens, married to a man she probably was still just getting to know. Her mother, and sisters not there to help her have her baby, This Baby of The Lord. Think of the manger, itchy stinky grass, labor pains and Joseph pacing back and forth, himself young and probably scared as well of this new family of his. "What would this Child be like ? Would He look human ? Would He love me ? Would Mary come to love me in time ? " I just think of the many practical things that must have been going through their minds on that Glorious Night. Oh, if they could only see visions of what This Child would do for all of us.
Hugs,
Rhea :)

ReplyDeleteMiss Rhea- Bless you for capturing the real life of that holy family on a night 2,0000 years ago. Your nativity in the cloche is beautiful. I was in Bethlehem 18 months ago, and walked in Shepherds field and went to the church of the Nativity- and I was struck by the condition of Mary and Joseph. They were real life. They were obedient to God, but they were real! Can you imagine seeing the fulfillment to prophesy right before you? God in flesh- there must have been so many emotion- too much to take in.
ReplyDeleteYour wonderful post, brings all this back to me. Thank you so much!!!!
Have a blessed Christmas!
Yvonne
